GUWAHATI: Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre thrashed Nabajyoti Cricket Coaching Centre by 25 runs in the U-16 Inter Coaching Centre Cricket tournament, organized by Navarang Club at Judges’ Field today.

Losing the toss, GCCC managed 189 in allotted 30 overs losing 7 wickets. Diwiz Pathak scored 67 off 78 balls with 7 fours while Wasim Sahil Saikia remained unbeaten at 64 of 41 balls with 8 fours. Bibek Das contributed 28 runs. Victor Kashyap claimed 2 wickets.

In reply Nabajyoti CCC could score 164 runs in 30 overs losing 8 wickets. Deepjyoti Rajbonshi hit 55 while Jyotisman Goswami and Pritam Pran Kalita added 25 and 23 respectively.

Rehan A Baishya took 4 wickets for 31 runs. Organising Secretary Bapan Das informed that Wasim Sahil Saikia has been adjudged as the Man of the Match award. Tomorrow’s match: Santipur CC Centre vs Fairyland CC Centre.
