Guwahati earn 3 points in the Nuruddin Senior Inter District Cricket tournament

GUWAHATI: The rain disturbed match between Guwahati and Goalpara in the Nuruddin Senior Inter District Cricket tournament came to an end as a draw at Goalpara on Sunday. Guwahati earned three points from the game by virtue of the first innings lead.

Goalapara, started their second innings from overnight score 8-2 at the DN Singha Stadium, were bowled out 103 in the second innings. Pushparaj Sharma came out with a terrific spell picking 8 wickets for just 26 runs and finished the game 10-39. Ramiz Rabbani (38) and Akash Sengupta (34) were the major contributors for the local outfit. Guwahati were 59-3 in their second innings when the match came to an end.
