Guwahati Emerge As Best Team In ID Athletics

GUWAHATI: Guwahati emerged champion in the All Assam Inter District Athletics Championship which concluded at the Indira Gandhi Athletics Stadium here today. Guwahati altogether collected 24 gold, 14 silver and 11 Bronze on way to finish top at the medal tally. Dibrugarh and Sivasagar finished second and third respectively. While Dibrugarh collected 36 medals Sivasagar picked up 33 medals. Former international athlete Tayabun Nisha and Commissioner Secretary of the Sports Department Siddharth Singh today attended the closing function along with the president of the Assam Athletics Association Lakhya Konwar.
