GUWAHATI: A high performance tennis camp will kick off at the Khanapara Lawn Tennis Academy in the city on Thursday. The camp will be supervised by a top tennis coach of the country Debapriya Das and around 20 players will participate in it.

Addressing a media gathering, coach Debapriya today said, "Assam has good talent in the junior level and the players of the state are also doing well in various competitions. However the scenario is not the same in the senior category. I feel it is due to the lack of quality training facilities and good competitions."

The media briefing was also attended by the founder of Khanapara Lawn Tennis Academy and neurosurgeon NK Das.
