Mangaldai: The newly formed Darrang District Archery Association (DDAA) led by its President cum Superintendent of Police Er Sushanta Biswa Sarma has completed all arrangements for hosting the 17th All Assam Inter District Senior (Men and Women) Archery Championship scheduled at Mangaldai College Playground on February 25 to 27. A total of 250 archers representing 24 affiliated units of the state will take part in the Championship.
On February 25, Doneswar Gayary President of Archery Association of Assam and Er Sushanta Biswa Sarma will mark the beginning of the championship by hoisting the flags of respective Association while Deputy Commissioner of Darrang Pranab Kumar Sarma will inaugurate the championship and will also receive the salute in the march past with the participating archers. The championship will include Indian, Compound and Recurve events. Promising Archer Pramila Daimary who represented India in Jakarta Asian Games and Sanjay Boro who bagged Bronze medal in World Junior Archery Championship in USA will also take part in the Championship.
