Inter District Girls Football begins at Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Nripendra Narayan Singha Inter-District School Girls Football tournament got underway today in Guwahati. Altogether 25 teams are taking part in the tournament and matches are going on in four grounds-SAI, Nehru Stadium, Royal Global School and Tapesia. The first day witnessed nine matches of the competition. Hailakandi made major upset on the opening day defeating Kamrup (M) 4-2 via tie break.
