Khelo India University Games: Emon, Jonmoni win medals

GUWAHATI: Two karate players from Assam made podium finish in the Khelo India University Games in Bengaluru today. Emon Gogoi from Dibrugarh University, bagged silver medal in women Kumita 65 kg plus category after she lost her final match to 4-8 against Ananya Anand of Patliputra University. On the other hand Jonmoni Das, represented Gauhati University in the competition, collected a bronze medal in women Kumita below 68 kg category. She got walk over against Saloni Meena (DDUU) in the bronze medal deciding match.
