Khelo India Women League held at the Bhogeswari Phukanani Indoor Stadium

GUWAHATI: ASMITA Khelo India Women League Weightlifting competition held at the Bhogeswari Phukanani Indoor Stadium here today. The competition was organized by the Assam Weightlifting Association. Altogether 38 budding weightlifters participated in the event which was inaugurated by Hemanta Kalita, Secretary General, Boxing Federation of India. Navajyoti Basumatary, Assistant Director of Sports and Youth Welfare Department attended the closing ceremony and also distributed the awards.

Top position winners: Appun Kutum (49kg), Pinky Neog (55kg), Mridula Rabha (50kg), Pratishtha Saha (64kg), Songita Sadhonidhar (71kg), Sikha Kiran Bayan (76kg), Linda Sitlhou (81kg), Modhusmrita Baruah (87kg) and Pinky Boro (87kh).
