Kunal Saikia to lead Assam in Ranji Trophy Championship

GUWAHATI: Wicket-keeper batsman Kunal Saikia will lead Assam in the forthcoming Ranji Trophy Championship which will kick off on February 16. Assam, placed in group 'G' with Vidarbha, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra. will play their matches in Haryana (Gurugram and Rohtak).

The Assam Cricket Association today announced an 18 members squad for the meet. The team included 5 pacers and three spinners.

The squad: Kunal Saikia (cap), Gokul Sarma, Rishav Das, Swarupam Purkayastha, Riyan Parag, Saahil Jain, Denish Das, Pallav Kumar Das, Subham Mandal, Ranjeet Mali, Arup Das, Mukhtar Hussain, Pritam Das, Hridip Deka, Amlanjyoti Das, Roshan Alam, Siddharth Sarmah, Hrishikesh Tamuly. Ajay Ratra (Head coach), Stuart Binny (Coach), Salil Sinha (Astt. coach cum Manager).
