Maharana Athletic Club earn full points in GSA ‘A’ Division Football League

GUWAHATI: Maharana Athletic Club registered 2-1 victory in the local derby against Gauhati Town Club in the GSA ‘A’ Division Football League at the Nehru Stadium here today. All three goals came in the second half of the match.

Both sides played good soccer in the match today and created many opportunities but the first half failed to produce any goal. Maharana took the lead in the 56th minute through Rajesh Das. Gauhati Town Club needed just six minutes to score the equalizer and Khakevi Assumi netted the goal. It was Rajesh Das again who scored the winning goal for Maharana in the 66th minute.
