Manipur to face Railways in final of Women National Football C'ship

GUWAHATI: Railways will face Manipur in the final of the Senior Women National Football championship which will be held at Passighat on September 24. Both the teams booked their place in the title clash defeating their respective opponents. In the first semi-final, Railways beat Odisha by 3-1. Kamala Devi (9', 60') and Mamta (23') scored to seal the victory for Railways whereas Jasoda Munda (88') scored one consolation goal for Odisha two minutes from the end of regulation time.

In the second semi-final, Manipur thrashed Tamil Nadu by 5-0. Daya scored a hat-trick (14', 39', 84') while Bala (10') and Prameshwori (35') netted one apiece to confirm the 5-0 victory to advance to their sixth consecutive national championship final.
