New Body of Assam Sports Journalists Association (ASJA) formed in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Assam Sports Journalists Association constituted its new committee during the Annual General Meeting which was held in the city today. Subodh Malla Barua retained as the president of the association while Imtiaz Ahmed elected unopposed for the post of secretary. The meeting also decided to reintroduce Annual Sports Award and Inter Media Cricket Championship.

New committee of ASJA: President: Subodh Malla Barua. Secretary: Imtiaz Ahmed. Vice President: Raj Kumar Sarma, Mridumaloy Lukhurakon, Jugal Lochan Das, Mrinal Kumar Bora and Bidyut Kalita, Treasurer: Partha Chakraborty. Joint Secretary: Tauhid Ali Talukdar and Dhiren Sarma. Assistant Secretary: Kausav Barua and Mukut Sarma. Executive Members: Samarendra Sarma, Ramesh Prasad, Bhupinder Singh, Pawan Jha Murli, Suman Dutta, Pradip Nath, Hirakjyoti Malakar, Diganta Saharia and Saurav kumar Bora. Advisors: Premadhar Sarma, Pabitra Gogoi, Balendra Mohan Chakraborty, Sushim Ghosh, Umananda Jaiswawl, Saurav Bora (Sr) and Diganta Buragohain. Special invitees: Sukumar Medhi, Prarthana Hazarika, Pranjal Hazarika, Somesh Deka, Dwijendra Lal Das, Rahaman Ali, Ashim Bhawal and Ganesh Dutta.
