Northeast Frontier Railway Sports Association in Driver's Seat

Guwahati: Hot favourite NFRSA are in driver's seat in the 1st semifinal of RG Baruah U-16 Inter District Cricket tournament at Barpeta on Thursday as they were 25 for no loss at stumps on Day 1 after bundled out Nagaon for just 66 in 27.5 overs.

The match was delayed due to overnight rain and started at 1:50 pm. NFRSA invited the opponent to bat first after winning the toss in a condition where the outfield was wet. Taking the advantage of the condition they needed only 27.5 overs to wrap up Nagaon's innings. Pacers DebangshuGhosh and ZiyadZaman took 3 wickets each. Shamim Ahmed scored a fighting 27 off 54 balls.
