GUWAHATI: Parthiv Kalita of Assam and Aleena Farid from West Bengal lifted double crown in the boys and girls under 14 and 16 years singles events in the OIL-AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament which concluded at the All Assam Tennis Association complex in the city today. The award function was attended by Jayanta Hazarika, Chief General Manager, OIL India Limited (PL), Ramanuj Dutta, General Manager OIL India Limited (PL) and Ankush Dutta, General Secretary of the All Assam Tennis Association.
RESULTS (Final): Boys Singles U-14: Parthiv Kalita (AS) Beat Chandogya T Pathak (AS) 4-6, 6-3, 6-0. Girls Singles U-14 Aleena Farid (WB) Beat Avipsha Dehury (OD) 6-1, 6-0. Boys Singles U-16: Parthiv Kalita (AS) beat Kartikey Agassi (BR) 3-6, 6-3, 7-5. Girls Singles U-16: Aleena Farid (WB) beat Sohini Chatterjee (WB) 6-2, 6-1. Girls doubles U-14: Sanchari Malkhandi / Indrakshi Bhattacharya beat Soni Prajapati (UP) / Nabiha Moriyam (AS) 7-5, 5-7, 11-9. Boys Doubles U-14: Rishav Prasad (WB) / Subhradip Mukhopadhyay (WB) beat Dev Bipul Patel (GJ) / Manan Swatantra Rai (MH) 7-6(2), 0-6, 10-7. Boys Dobles U-16: Riyan Kashyap (AS) / Kartikey Agassi (BR) beat Parthiv Kalita (AS) / Chandogya T Pathak (AS) 6-4, 7-6(2).
