Rahul Singh wins 46th All Assam Inter District Chess championship title

GUWAHATI: Rahul Singh clinched the 46th All Assam Inter District Chess championship title that concluded at Dongkamokam in West Karbi Anglong on Saturday. Rahul, representing Cachar in the competition, bagged the top spot collecting 8 points from nine rounds. Avash Hazarika (Dibrugarh) and Santanu Borpatra Gohain (Sivasagar) finished second and third respectively. Altogether 90 players from 13 districts participated in the tournament where Cachar bagged best men’s team award and West Karbi Anglong lifted Best District team title.
