Reshab takes 8 wickets as Dhemaji manage 248

GUWAHATI: Reshab Deepak of Jorhat destroyed Dhemaji's batting order by taking 8 wickets in the opening day of the final of the JK Barooah U-19 Inter-District Tournament at Furkating today. After losing the toss, Dhemaji scored 248 in 57 overs in their first innings where Reshab struck 8 wickets for 96 runs in his 19-over spell. Lakhyajit Sonowal 75(48) and Juseph Buragohain 56(79) hit half-centuries while Abid Imran contributed 42 off 77 balls for Dhemaji.

In reply, Jorhat also lost 6 wickets for 90 runs in 33 overs at stumps. Man of the Day Reshab remained unbeaten at 24 feom 17 balls before Rohit Yadav added 24 from 63 balls. Juseph Buragohain and Anurag Phukan took two wickets each.
