Rousing welcome for Mr. Universe Dipjyoti Boro

Boko: Dipjyoti Boro of Boko won the Mr Universe 2019 (under 80 kilograms) title at Pattaya City, in Thailand on November 30. The tournament was organized by the World Bodybuilding Federation. On Wednesday, the All Bodo Students’ Union and the All Assam Students’ Union and local people gave Dipjyoti Boro a rousing welcome at Guwahati Airport and then in his hometown Boko. It may mentioned here that last year Golap Rabha, another professional bodybuilder of Boko had won the same title at Thailand. Dipjyoti has so far won three titles – Mr Asia overall champion, Mr Universe (under 90kg) and Mr Universe Fitness Model. Two other bodybuilders from Assam, Bijuram Boro and Amlan Rabha, also won second and third positions respectively in the same event.
