DIBRUGARH: The 7th Sarbananda Singha National level prize money football tournament, organized by Matak Sports Club in association with Milan Jyoti Sangha under the aegis of National Football Federation of India and Assam Football Federation, will be held at Dibrugarh Chowkidingee playground in December.
Disclosing this at the press conference here the president of All Assam Matak Yuba Chatra Sanmilan Ranjit Gohain informed that a new organizing committee has been constituted with president Chad Gohain and with secretary Devid Gohain.
The other office bearers are working-president Mintu Borpatra Gohain, joint secretaries Ajay Gogoi, Deboshree Chetia and publicity secretary Golap Lahon.
According to Gohain, football teams from northeaster state's like Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, ASEB, Oil India FC besides Matak Sports Club and national football teams from Kerala, Kolkata, Bengalore, Goa and Northeast FC are stated to participate in the mega sports events.
Rajit Gohain told The Sentinel that the date of the tournament has not been fixed yet but ensured that it will be held at mid December this year.
Gohain further added that the prize money for the champion is Rs 1 lakh.
