Several medals decided on Day II, Dibrugarh reach girls football final in Assam Youth Olympics

GUWAHATI: Dibrugarh stormed into the final in girls football in the Assam Youth Olympics here today. In the semifinal the side defeated Kamrup by 4-0. While Sonam Dutta scored twice Ankita Mech and Tushamoni Gogoi scored one goal each in the match.

Meanwhile several medals in various events including cycling, Judo and others were decided on day II in the competition held in various parts of the city today.

20 Kms Road & Mass Start Cycling (Girls):1st: Justine Kashyap of Kamrup (31:58 minutes). 2nd: Hira Basumatary of Lakhimpur (31:58.224 minutes), 3rd: Doly Rani Dowarah of Dibrugarh (32:00.683 minutes).

60 Kms Mass Start Road Cycling (Boys):

Manabjyoti Teron of Kamrup (1:16:05.289 Hours). 2nd: Chemson Ingti of Kamrup (01:16:06.009). Priyansu Deka of Kamrup (01:16:07.881 hours).

40 Kms Road Cycling Individual Time trial (Boys): 1st: Rimanju Roy of Kamrup (21:52.374 minutes). 2nd: Chemson Ingti of Kamrup (22:41.187 minutes). 3rd: Bishal Jyoti Saikia of Kamrup (23:32.452 minutes).

20 Kms Road Cycling Individual Time trial (Girls): 1st: Hira Basumatary of Lakhimpur (24:23.178 minutes). 2nd: Devika Sarma of Kamrup (24:47.154 minutes). 3rd:Dolly Rani Dowrah of Dibrugarh (25:15.240 minutes).
