SLAC Pride Cup Cricket semis begins today at Amingaon ground

GUWAHATI: River Rine Club and City Cricket Club won their final league matches of the SLAC Pride Cup Cricket at the Amingaon ground today. While River Rine defeated Ankurjyoti Club by 25 runs, City Cricket Club beat ASEBSC by 7 wickets.

As per the format of the tournament the semi finals would also be held on a league basis where each team will face their respective opponent twice. The semi finals will kick off on Saturday and four teams who will be seen in action are Gauhati Town Club, New Star Club, Bud Cricket Club and Ankurjyoti Club.

Brief scores: 1st match: River Rine Club 112-9 (17 overs), Samik Das 63, Himangshu Saraswat 5-25, Akash Basfor 2-23; Ankurjyoti Club 87 (15.3 overs), Wasim Sahil Saikia 38, Sanjib Dutta 6-12.

Second match: ASEBSC 106-9 (20 overs), Chayanmoni Das 36. Ganesh Basfor 3-21; City Cricket Club 107-3 (11.2 overs), Wasiqur Rahman 54, Sanjib Barman 32 no.

November 25: Semi final I: Gauhati Town Club vs Ankurjyoti Club (8-30AM). Semi final II: Bud Cricket Club vs New Star Club (12-30pm). November 26: Semi final III: Bud Cricket Club vs New Star Club (8-30AM) and Semi final IV: Gauhati Town club vs Ankurjyoti Club (12-30 PM).
