GUWAHATI: Unseeded Ayan Sarma of Assam caused a major upset today in the boys under 16 singles quarter final by defeating second seed Riyan Kashyap in three sets 6-1, 1-6, 6-1. The win took him to the last four-stage of the competition. Top seed Antariksh Tamuly along with Manan Nath and Parthiv Kalita also entered the semi finals in the boys under 16 singles by defeating their respective rivals. In the boys under 18 singles Ved Aditya Kalita and Manan Nath along with Antariksh Tamuly from Assam entered the semi finals while the other semi finalist was Manav Hariraj of Karnataka.
