Unseeded Soni in semis of AITA U-16 Championship Series Tournament

GUWAHATI : Riyan Kashyap, Parthiv Kalita, Jyotishman Boro and Chandogya Tridive Pathak stormed into the semi-finals of the ongoing AITA U-16 Championship Series Tournament at India Club here today. In the girls singles unseeded Soni Prajapati from UP continued her dream run by reaching Semi-Finals.

Results of the singles matches played on Day III: Boys U-16 years Singles: Quarter- Final: Parthiv Kalita (Assam) bt Abhay Bharali (Assam) 6-0, 6-1. Riyan Kashyap (Assam) bt Ritik Roshan( TN) 6-1, 6-2. Jyotishman Boro (Assam) bt Twijilang Debbarma (Tripura) 4-6, 6-1, 7-5. Chandogya T Pathak (Assam) bt Ritik Rout (Assam) 3-6, 6-3, 6-1. Girls U-16 years Singles: Quarter-Final: Anshita Shukla (Assam) bt Neekita Sonowal Kand (Assam) 6-1, 6-3. Bishnupriya Borgohain (Assam) bt Kritika Kalita (Assam) 6-2, 6-1. Nabiha Moriyam (Assam) bt Arnavi Debnath (Assam) 6-3, 5-7, 6-2. Soni Prajapati (UP) bt Naodita Shukla (Assam) 6-2, 6-4.
