DIBRUGARH : Former Team India star Yuvraj Singh will inaugurate his ambitious project of setting up of hundred beds, having facilities of oxygen cylinders with each bed at the Intensive care unit in the Paediatric Department of Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMC&H) soon in virtual mode. With an aim to provide medical help to COVID affected children of the region, the Yuvraj Foundation committed to provide 100 beds at the Paediatric Department of AMC&H. Disclosing this AMC&H Principal Dr Sanjeeb Kakoty said that as a part of the project, the AMC authority has already received 50 beds. He further stated that under the project the AMC&H gets 100 beds along with oxygen cylinders whereas 50 beds of similar facilities are to be provided to Guwahati Medical College and Shillong Medical College each in the North-Eastern Region. Dr Kakoty further stated that initially all these beds are to be used for COVID affected children but later all these beds would be used for cancer patients in Paediatric Department.
