Imphal: The Manipur government has announced the launch of e-ILP Tracking System at four locations in the state. This includes  Jiribam Railway Station, Jiribam Foreigner Check Post, Mao Gate and Imphal Airport.

This step has been taken to facilitate the smooth functioning of the implementation of the Inner Line Permit in Manipur. 

This news was shared by the Office of the Chief Minister of Manipur in their official Twitter handle. The tweet read, "Hon'ble CM N Biren Singh today launched e-ILP Tracking System at four locations in the State viz. Jiribam Railway Station, Jiribam Foreigner Check Post, Mao Gate and Imphal Airport to effectively deal with the implementation process of Inner Line Permit system in the State."

The Inner Line Permit (ILP) system was introduced in the state of Manipur  on January 1, 2020. The ILP is issued to grant inward travel permission into a protected area for a limited period. Manipur is the fourth State in the Northeast, after Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Mizoram, where the ILP regime is now applicable.
