The joint effort, led by the Narcotics and Affairs of Border (NAB) police and Assam Rifles, resulted in the arrest of individuals involved in the trafficking of heroin and World is Your (WY) tablets. Acting on a credible tipoff, a team from the NAB police station executed a targeted operation. Three alleged smugglers were taken into custody during this operation, and a staggering 581 grams of heroin were seized from their possession. Additionally, authorities discovered three mobile phones and several incriminating documents in their possession. Valued at approximately Rs 20 crore in the international market, these contraband tablets were confiscated from Khudengthabi, located along the Imphal-Moreh road. The tablets had been transported from the Moreh side in a Mahindra Bolero bearing an Assam Registration number. The alleged smuggler, identified as J Alanson Lamkang (36) of Lamkang Khunou in Tengnoupal district, was apprehended and subsequently handed over to the Moreh police station.
