Manipur: All Girls Sainik School to be Established in Bishnupur

IMPHAL: N Biren Singh, the chief minister of Manipur, has announced that an girls' Sainik school will soon be established in the state of Bishnupur.

The Chief Minister was speaking at a mega ex-servicemen rally held at Koirengei. He said that a girls-only Sainik school would soon be established in Bishnupur in recognition of the strength, selflessness, dedication, and conviction of Manipuri women.

The Chief Minister emphasised that everyone should grasp Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Country First" message and that "we are safe when the country is safe, hence we must always think about the nation first."

According to N. Biren, the Indian Army is the nation's protector and has sacrificed everything—including their families—to defend and serve the nation. It is the people's duty to honor, respect, and support them.

The Chief Minister continued by listing the contributions and sacrifices of the state's army personnel, such as Major Jotin's death in Afghanistan and Major Bob Khathing's role in nation-building. He added that the state government has set aside Rs 3 crore to build a martyrs' memorial at the ex-servicemen's office complex so that people can pay their respects and honor the martyrs each year.

Biren also expressed gratitude to Rajnath Singh, the defense minister, and Amit Shah, the minister of housing, for approving the holding of the Agniveer recruitment rally in Manipur.

Additionally, he stated that the State Cabinet has consented to offer retirees preference when applying for government jobs upon retirement.

He continued by saying there was concord and a marked improvement in the relationship between the public and security forces.

According to Brig. Neil John, the 57th Mountain Division's deputy general officer, Manipur has a vivid history of bravery and sacrifice. He asserted that the valiant sons and daughters of Manipur have made an unparalleled and unparalleled contribution to nation-building and the Indian Army.

Lt Gen (retd) LN Singh, senior serving and retired officers, Veer Nari, and ESM were among those who attended the ceremony.
