Manipur: Brown Sugar Worth Rs 200 Crore Seized From Factory

Imphal: In a major development, the Manipur Police, on Tuesday seized a Brown Sugar worth Rs 200 crore from a drug factory in Manipur's Thoubal district.

As per reports, the police recovered 222. 85 kg of brown sugar during the raid at Moijing Mina Bazar in the Thoubal district of Manipur.

The unit was carrying out its manufacturing of the drugs at a residence of a woman.

The items that are used for the manufacturing purpose were also retrieved from the woman's house, the police said.

Currently, the woman is said to be under arrest and has been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Further investigation in this regard is underway.
