IMPHAL: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has been assigned the crucial task of ensuring the security of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) teams during their visits to various locations in the violence-stricken state of Manipur. This move comes as the CBI intensifies its investigation into the alleged kidnapping and killing of two students who disappeared under mysterious circumstances.

The CBI team, led by Special Director Ajay Bhatnagar, arrived in Imphal on Wednesday to initiate a thorough probe into the disturbing incidents that have shaken Manipur's peace. Their mandate includes investigating the cases related to the missing students, gathering crucial evidence, and transferring it to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory for analysis and validation.

The decision to provide CRPF security to the CBI teams has been made to ensure the swift progress of the investigation and the safety of CBI officials operating in volatile and potentially dangerous environments. Manipur has witnessed a surge in violence, making it imperative for law enforcement agencies to take all necessary precautions.

Under the CBI's purview, there are currently 11 First Information Reports (FIRs) encompass disturbing incidents, including the viral video depicting the deplorable act of two young tribal women being paraded naked. Each of these cases requires a meticulous and comprehensive investigation to uncover the truth and bring the perpetrators to justice.

The investigative process involves CBI teams visiting the scenes of the crimes, meticulously recreating the events that transpired, and gathering vital forensic evidence. This evidence is crucial for building a strong case against those responsible for the heinous acts that have tarnished Manipur's reputation.

"To ensure the expeditious progress of these investigations and, most importantly, to prioritize the safety of our CBI officials, CRPF personnel will accompany them during their visits to the violence-affected areas," stated a senior official. This collaborative effort between the CBI and CRPF underscores the seriousness with which these cases are being pursued and the commitment to upholding the rule of law.

The situation in Manipur has raised concerns at both the national and international levels, with many demanding justice and accountability for the perpetrators of these crimes. The involvement of the CBI and CRPF signifies the government's resolve to bring the culprits to justice and restore law and order in Manipur.

The decision to entrust the CRPF with the responsibility of ensuring the safety of CBI teams during their investigations in Manipur marks a significant step toward achieving justice in the face of violence and lawlessness. It reflects the government's commitment to upholding the rule of law and bringing those responsible for heinous crimes to justice. As the investigations progress, the nation awaits the truth, hoping for a swift and just resolution to these disturbing incidents that have shaken Manipur to its core.
