IMPHAL: The Manipur Health Department has issued a directive stating that all government doctors must fulfil their duties diligently in their place of posting to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic,
Principal Secretary (Health) V. Vumlummang stated in the directive that private practice by government doctors will not be allowed, adding that that the Director of Health Services shall inspect to ensure that private hospitals do not engage government doctors. The first report of the inspection is to be submitted by December 2.
Moreover, the directive mentioned that the Director of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences and Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences would initiate immediate steps to ensure that their specialists and doctors attend their duties regularly. (Agencies)
