Manipur: Man Abducted and Shooting of 39-Year-Old Man by Masked Assailants in Manipur

IMPHAL: In a perplexing turn of events, a 39-year-old man, Takhellambam Lokhon, fell victim to a chilling abduction and shooting orchestrated by four masked assailants in a remote location near Mayang Imphal Maibam Thongkhong, situated under the jurisdiction of Mayang Imphal Police Station. The unsettling incident unraveled late on a Sunday night, leaving the local authorities bewildered and the community on edge.

Lokhon, a resident of Chanam Sandrok Maning Leikai in Imphal East District, was going about his evening at a seemingly innocuous spot in Waikhong village under the Waikhong police station when the horrifying ordeal began. It was around 8 pm when the four masked men, brandishing small weapons, forcibly kidnapped him. They acted swiftly, rescuing the injured victim and ensuring that he received the necessary medical treatment. Lokhon is currently undergoing treatment at the Primary Health Centre in Mayang Imphal, where his condition is being closely monitored.
