IMPHAL: In a collaborative effort between the Assam Rifles, Border Security Force (BSF), and Manipur Police, a significant cache of weapons was discovered in the remote village of Gothal-Phoulijang, Churachandpur. This operation was initiated based on precise intelligence that indicated the presence of a substantial stockpile of arms and ammunition in the area.
The search operation, led by dedicated troops, yielded a substantial haul, including a 9mm Carbine gun, a Tear Gas Gun, an Improvised Mortar, as well as ammunition and various warlike stores. This operation was conducted under the guidance of the Red Shield Division of the Indian Army. The recovered weaponry and supplies have been handed over to the Churachandpur Police Station for further investigation and action.
Remarkably, during the operation, the security forces also organized a medical camp and distributed essential items to the residents of Gothal-Phoulijang village as part of a Civic Action program. This compassionate initiative aimed to address the immediate healthcare needs of the local community, reflecting the commitment of the armed forces to the well-being of Indian citizens in these challenging times in Manipur.
Additionally, in a parallel endeavor, another medical camp was conducted in P Moulding village in West Imphal district. A team of Army doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals provided crucial medical care to more than 190 individuals, including 93 children. The services ranged from basic health checkups to medication, along with recommendations for further treatments.
These initiatives underscore the Indian Army's unwavering commitment to the welfare of its citizens. They exemplify the indomitable spirit of unity and compassion, showcasing that even in challenging circumstances in Manipur, no one is left without the necessary medical attention.
