Manipur: Government of Manipur Home Department (GMHD) on Friday announced that the guidelines for surveillance, containment, and caution issued by the Chairman National Executive Committee (CNEC) vide order No. 40-3/2020-DM-(1) A dated 25/11/2020 is adopted in Manipur with the additional requirements that will remain in force up to 31/12/2020 or until further orders whichever is earlier.

Whereas the undersigned CSEC of the State Disaster Management Authority(SDMA) in the exercise of the powers conferred under section 20 (2) (a) of the disaster management Act 2005 issued orders of even No. dated 28/10/2020 detailing the guidelines of the UNLOCK to be followed till further orders or till 30/11/2020 in respect of the entire state.

The additional requirements are listed below :

  1. There will be night curfew from 6 pm to 8 am and the District Magistrate will issue orders in this regard. Movement of essential services goods, trucks, and officials on duty shall be exempted.
  2. Social and customary ceremonies should be held for family members only and if some other person is required to attend the ceremony, the size of the gathering should be limited to 20 or less.
  3. Opening of shops in Thangal and Paona Bazaars except the wholesale shops will be as per the list below:

For Thangal Bazar:

Monday- Clothes, Shoes, Stationeries, Sports, Utensils, Crockery, Electrical, Paint, Mattress, and Carpets.

Tuesday- Furniture, Aluminium, Construction materials, Plywood, Utensils, Electronics, Computers, Mobiles, and Waiving yarn.

Wednesday - Hardware, Sanitary fittings, Tiles, Marbles, Motor Parts, Tyres, and Batteries.

Thursday- Clothes, Shoes, Stationeries, Sports, Utensils, Crockery, Electrical, Paint, Mattress and Carpets.

Friday- Furniture, Aluminium, Construction materials, Plywood, Utensils, Electronics, Computers, Mobiles, and Waiving yarn.

Saturday- Motor Parts, tyres , Batteries, Hardware, Sanitary fittings, Tiles, and Marble.

For Paona Bazaar:

Monday- Luggage and bags, Stationeries, Jewellery, cosmetics, Photo, mattresses, and Carpets.

Tuesday- Clothes only (eastern side), Waving yarn, Cycle, Computer, Glass and ply, Mobile, Electronics, Drycleaners, and Furniture.

Wednesday- Clothes only (western side), Shoes, Sports, Eyeglasses.

Thursday- Luggage and bags, Stationeries, Jewellery, cosmetics, Photo, mattresses, and Carpets.

Friday- Clothes only (eastern side), Waiving yarn, Cycle, Computer, Glasses, Ply, Mobile, Electronics, Drycleaner, and Furniture.

Saturday- Clothes only (western side), Shoes, Sports, Eyeglasses.

The shops will remain closed on Sunday.

However, the order stated that the Deputy commissioner's other than Imphal West and Imphal East shall prepare their schedule for their markets based on local requirements in respect of other districts.
