SHILLONG: Meghalaya registered 10 new COVID-19 cases on Friday and no casualties.

Meanwhile, the State also recorded four new recovered cases in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of recovered cases reached 83,276.

The tally of active cases in the State is 67, a Health Department bulletin stated.

East Khasi Hills district has the highest number of active cases with 53 cases, West Khasi Hills nil, East Garo Hills nil, West Garo Hills six cases, Ri Bhoi four cases, West Jaintia Hills nil, East Jaintia Hills three cases, South West Khasi Hills nil and North Garo Hills one case.

The 10 new COVID-19 cases which have been detected are from East Khasi Hills (nine cases) and West Garo Hills (one case).

The total number of fatalities from the COVID-19 pandemic in the State stands at 1,484 so far.
