SHILLONG: Meghalaya on Monday registered 210 new COVID-19 cases and registered four deaths, two in the East Khasi Hills and one each in Ri-Bhoi West Garo Hills.

Meanwhile, the State also recorded 246 new recovered cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases to 87,255. The tally of active cases has increased to 2,313, the Health Department said in a bulletin.

The total number of fatalities from COVID-19 infection stands at 1,526 so far.

East Khasi Hills has the highest number of active cases with 1,137. West Khasi Hills has 37 cases, East Garo Hills has 29, West Garo Hills has 521, Ri-Bhoi has 170, West Jaintia Hills has 91, East Jaintia Hills has 34, South West Khasi Hills has 57, South Garo Hills has 40, North Garo Hills has 53, Eastern West Khasi Hills has 56 and South West Garo Hills has 88.

The 210 new COVID-19 cases which have been detected are from East Khasi Hills (124), Eastern West Khasi Hills (4), East Jaintia Hills (6), Ri-Bhoi (12), South Garo Hills (3), South West Khasi Hills (3), West Jaintia Hills (7), West Garo Hills (32), West Khasi Hills (4), South West Garo Hills (13) and East Garo Hills (2).

The 246 recovered cases are from the East Khasi Hills (183), North Garo Hills (7), Ri-Bhoi (18), South West Garo Hills (5), South West Khasi Hills (2), West Garo Hills (29) and West Khasi Hills (2).
