24 more test COVID-19 positive in Meghalaya

SHILLONG: Twenty-four more persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday taking the total active cases in the State to 467.

It may be mentioned that the death toll in the State has also increased to 5, after a 67-year-old woman died due to the dreaded disease at NEIGRIHMS on Thursday night.

Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said that the 24 new cases include 9 BSF troopers, 5 Air Force and 8 civilians in East Khasi Hills while 2 are from East Jaintia Hills.
