Assam- Meghalaya Border Meeting Held at Shillong's State Convention Centre

 SHILLONG: A Joint Regional Committee meeting to examine areas of differences in Block I, Psiar-Khanduli, in West Jaintia Hills District with West Karbi Anglong District, Hamren, Assam, was held on Wednesday at the State Convention Centre, Shillong.

Deputy Chief Minister and Chairman of the West Jaintia Hills District regional committee, Sniawbhalang Dhar, chaired the meeting in the presence of Assam Minister, Pijush Hazarika.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners of West Jaintia Hills District and West Karbi Anglong District, members of the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council and Karbi Anglong Autonomous District Council, and also village headmen from both districts, Meghalaya and Assam, stated a press release.
