One more returnee who came from Bihar has tested COVID-19 positive in Meghalaya's Ri Bhoi district on Sunday, July 5 confirmed the state's Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma.
It has been reported that the infected patient is under quarantine.
With this latest COVID-19 positive case in the hill-state, the total number of active cases stands at 28 and recovered patients are 43.
Meghalaya CM Sangma shared a tweet in his account quoting "One more returnee from Bihar to Umroi, Ri Bhoi District has tested positive for COVID19 and is under quarrantine."
A single patient -- the first detected in the state -- has died due to complications related to the respiratory illness.
