BJP MLA Sanbor Shullai surprised at party's move

SHILLONG: Expressing his displeasure, BJP MLA SanborShullai said that he is neither aware nor been consulted about the decision of the State party to approach the Meghalaya Lokayukta and that even several senior leaders including his party colleagues are not aware about it.

Shullai said that nobody in the government supports corruption; and any differences among the party in the alliance should be discussed in the appropriate forum.

Shullai said that he is clear about his stance; and wants the party leaders to wait for the Coordination Committee meet before coming to any conclusion.

Shullai also said that along with senior leaders of the party, he will meet the Central leaders, the State incharge and NEDA chief HimantaBiswa Sharma after Christmas; and will seek clarity on this issue.

Shullai also said that he will take decision regarding the issues raised by the State party leaders only after disussing the issues with the Central leaders.
