GUWAHATI: The Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad Sangma inaugurated a telemedicine facility in Shillong. He tweeted,"Inaugurated the #Telemedicine facility at NEIGRIHMS, Shillong. Use of technology for health-related services and information via electronic information and telecommunication is crucial in our fight against #COVID19."
Meanwhile, Justice Biswanath Somadder, who travelled around 2,000 km by road from Uttar Pradesh to Meghalaya via West Bengal, went into home quarantine hours after taking oath as the Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court on Monday.
Also, Meghalaya Agriculture Minister Banteidor Lyngdoh donated 300 PPEs suits to three Primary Health Centre (PHC) in his constituency on Tuesday.
The three PHCs located at Jatah, Mawkynrew Block and Jongksha will be receiving 100 PPE suits each. The PPEs were handed over by Lyngdoh to the three doctors in-charge of these PHCs.
Addressing a small function at Jongksha PHC, Lyngdoh said, “This is a small contribution to the frontline workers like doctors and nurses who are in need of these protective gear.”
Lyngdoh also urged the people of his constituency and those across the State to maintain proper hygiene and to always wear a mask while moving out of the house and to maintain social distancing.
