Deputy CM Prestone Tynsong held High-Level Committee meet

SHILLONG: Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong today held the High-Level Committee (HLC) to resolve the long-pending issue concerning Them Iew-Mawlong.

"We will be submitting the recommendation of the committee to the State government to resolve this pending issue and this probably be in our next meeting," Tynsong said after the HLC meeting.

He informed that the consultation committee headed by Urban Affairs Minister Hamletson Dohling has submitted its report to the HLC for consideration.

It may be mentioned here that the HLC was constituted by the State government for finding a feasible solution to relocate the residents from Them Iew-Mawlong after massive protest in 2018.
