Distribution of rice and atta under NFSA in East Khasi Hills District, Shillong

SHILLONG: The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District, has informed the public consumers that rice under NFSA (AAY and PHH), non-NFSA, and wholemeal atta for the month of October 2023 is being released through their respective Fair Price Shops.

The AAY quota of rice will be distributed at the scale of 35 kg per card and PHH at the scale of 5 kg per head. The AAY and PHH quotas are free of charge. The non-NFSA quota is 7.205 kg per household, ranging from Rs. 12.70 to Rs. 13.00 per kg. Wholemeal atta will be distributed on a scale of 5 kg per card in urban areas and 3 kg per card in rural areas at Rs. 10.50 per kg. Any non-supply, supply of less prescribed scale, overcharging, or supply of inferior quality may be reported to the DC’s Office, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong, stated a press release.
