Don't hike prices of grocery items: Khasi Students' Union

SHILLONG: The KSU (Khasi Students' Union) has issued a strong warning to the owners of grocery shops not to take advantage of the pandemic by increasing prices of essential products in the State. ''We have directed our members to keep a strong vigilance; and, if we find that any shop is selling products at overpriced rates such shop will be closed down,'' said Richard D Mawkhiew, president of KSU Nongthymmai Circle. He also said that the KSU is willing to fully cooperate with the district administration in this regard.
