The movie director and producer has informed that the film that was supposed to be released in 2019 had to be shifted to 2020 "due to a correction to make it more attractive to the audience".
According to Commander Shangpliang, the movie has been appreciated by the critics whom he had shown for review. Even the members of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) have appreciated the movie, he added. It may be mentioned here that the title song of the movie- 9-Lad has already crossed 3.3 million views in Youtube.
The film -- both day and night scenes -- was shot at the crowded Police Bazar here. Shangpliang informed that the script was written after a thorough research and some parts of the movie was influenced by a true incident.
Pointing out that though he had reports about flesh trade being carried out in the heart of the city -- Police Bazar, he didn't take them on face value. However, he really got a shock when he came across such activities while carrying out his research for the script.
He said that the objective of making the movie is not just to expose what is going in Police Bazar but to find out a solution. The release date will be inform later, he added.
