SHILLONG: Former MLA and Meghalaya Minister Sayeedullah Nongrum, on Thursday, returned to the Congress party. He said that he decided to do so because on the request of Vincent H Pala as MPCC (Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee) president.

Nongrum was welcomed to the party by Deborah Marak general secretary MPCC and other party leaders and workers. "I have returned to the party because Pala is the new MPCC president. I left Congress because of some issues but now I'm back and in politics there are no permanent friend or enemy," said Nongrum.

The former Minister also informed that he will be making a decision soon from which constituency he will contest the 2023 Meghalaya Legislative Assembly elections.
