Four boys rescue two girls from drowning in Meghalaya

SHILLONG: Four boys rescued two girls from drowning in a river at Mookyndeng village in West Jaintia Hills District. The incident took place on Sunday.

Finie Suchiang (18) and Arkini Suchiang (12), both from Mulieh village – fell into the Syllek (Tyngkla) river while playing. On noticing the incident, the four boys immediately jumped into the river and successfully rescued the two girls. The four recuers are Waiphangki Pala alias Maidong (22), Thranglut-o-ki Pala (17), Onyxstone Pala (19) and Kyrpang-i-man Suchiang (19). The headman of Mookyndeng has expressed profound gratefulness to the brave hearts. (A Reporter)
