Governor of Meghalaya, Phagu Chauhan celebrates Raksha Bandhan

SHILLONG: On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, B. K. Neelam, in-charge of Brahmakumaris, Shillong Centre, along with other members of the organization, paid a visit to the Governor of Meghalaya, Phagu Chauhan, at Raj Bhavan, Shillong. During this special occasion, Neelam tied a sacred rakhi on the governor’s wrist, symbolising the bonds of protection and love. Raksha Bandhan, an Indian festival deeply rooted in culture, signifies the enduring love and commitment between siblings. This year, B. K. Neelam extended this beautiful tradition to embrace unity and respect for our leaders, emphasising the festival’s essence of strengthening relationships and fostering goodwill, stated a press release.
