Heroin Seized By Anti Narcotic Task Force In Meghalaya

SHILLONG: The Anti Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) team after tracking the movements of petty drug peddlers were able to pin down the location of one of the middle-level supplier. “A team of the ANFT and Laitumkhrah police station last night arrested one Rintu Saikia of Central Nongrim Hills,” East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police Claudia Lyngwa said here on Tuesday, The SP further informed that the police on searching his house recovered heroin weighing 58.78 grams packed in five soap cases. It may me mentioned that number of drug users and peddlers, especially in the State capital Shillong, is on the rise.
