Highest single-day corona recoveries of 311 in Meghalaya

SHILLONG: New recoveries have exceeded the new cases in Meghalaya in the last few days with the State registering 311 single-day highest recoveries and 54 new COVID-19 positive cases on Saturday.

Of the 311 recovered patients, 234 were reported from East Khasi Hills district (Armed Force/Para Military Force: 35; civilians: 199); 51 from East Jaintia Hills; 16 from Ri Bhoi District; seven from West Garo Hills; two from West Khasi Hills; and one from West Jaintia Hills.

The total tally of recoveries in the State as on date stands at 3,654.

Of the 54 new positive cases detected on Saturday East Khasi Hills district reported 31 followed by West Garo Hills: 12, East Garo Hills: six, Ri Bhoi: two besides one each from South Garo Hills, East Jaintia hills and West Jaintia Hills. Total tally of active cases in the State stands at 1,515. Meghalaya has detected a total of 5,212 COVID 19 cases and regiestered 43 deaths due to the infection till date.
