SHILLONG: Jarpum Gamlin, who contested the 2019 Assembly election from Arunachal Pradesh as a NPP candidate was appointed by national president Conrad K Sangma as the national secretary in-charge for media, social media and communications. Gamlin, is a former journalist. He has over two decade of experience in the field of media. “Communications plays a very important role in politics in an age of information. Gamlin with prior experience in the field of media will be an asset for the party. He understands the nuances of media and communication and knows the industry very well. I am sure he would be a friend to all the media persons, particularly from the Northeast and will aid in providing required information to the media,” said Sangma Meanwhile, Paknga Bage, who contested the Assembly election from Arunachal Pradesh was appointed as national secretary in-charge of Nagaland. He has been entrusted the role to strengthen the party base in Nagaland in close coordination with Nagaland State unit.
