Kyrmen Shylla Inaugurated Bridge Over River Kalipai

SHILLONG: Social Welfare Minister Kyrmen Shylla inaugurated the bridge over river Kalipai at Rymbai Iapmala Suchen Road in the presence of FM Depth, Deputy Commissioner of East Jaintia Hills District, on Friday. Shylla while addressing the gathering hoped that the bridge will benefit the people of the areas and ease the transport problems of the people. He said that the bridge will also accelerate developmental activities in these areas. Shylla acknowledged the vision and hard work of the ex- MLAs Nehlang Lyngdoh and Justin Dkhar for the important role played by them in the successful completion of the bridge while at the same time thanking the land owners who contributed their land for the construction of the bridge.

Earlier in the programme, the chief guest, Kyrmen Shylla along with the Deputy Commissioner, FM Dopth and other dignitaries of the district unveiled the inauguration tablet of the bridge.

Lasky Rymbai, MDC Tuber, Dr Sanki Shangpung, MDC Bataw, Fineliness Bareh, MDC, Khliehriat were among those who were also present during the inauguration programme.

Others who also spoke during the programme includes, FM Dopth, Deputy Commissioner of East Jaintia Hills District, PR Marwein, Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya PWD among others.
